iOS Activation Cannot be Performed on Universal Device Service

Overview:

When an iOS device user who has been added to the Universal Device Service loads the Universal Device Service Application from their iOS device and enters the proper server name, a username and password prompt appears.  After entering the valid username and password and tapping Activate My Device, a pop-up message asking to install a certificate appears, at which point when OK is tapped an error message is displayed:

 

Your device cannot be activated at this time. Please try again later or contact your administrator.

 

Cause 1:
1. This error appears because the Universal Device Service user account has been either configured for an Android™ device only or the iOS version of the iOS device does not meet the version which has been set by the administrator.

 

Resolution:
The iOS device should meet the requirements which are set by the administrator who created the Universal Device Service user account.

 

Cause 2:
The password entered on the iOS device does not match the password set in the BlackBerry Universal Device Service.

 

Resolution 2:
Check that the password being entered matches the password set in the BlackBerry Universal Device Service.
