When an iOS device user who has been added to the Universal Device Service loads the Universal Device Service Application from their iOS device and enters the proper server name, a username and password prompt appears. After entering the valid username and password and tapping Activate My Device, a pop-up message asking to install a certificate appears, at which point when OK is tapped an error message is displayed:
Your device cannot be activated at this time. Please try again later or contact your administrator.
1. This error appears because the Universal Device Service user account has been either configured for an Android™ device only or the iOS version of the iOS device does not meet the version which has been set by the administrator.
The iOS device should meet the requirements which are set by the administrator who created the Universal Device Service user account.
The password entered on the iOS device does not match the password set in the BlackBerry Universal Device Service.
Check that the password being entered matches the password set in the BlackBerry Universal Device Service.
