Initial Setup of O365 Password
1.  To log into the Office 365 portal, navigate to https://portal.microsoftonline.com, enter your Office 365 email address and password, and then click Sign In.




2.  If you have a temporary password, you will see a page like this. Enter the temporary password in the Old Password field and then enter the new password in both the New Password and Confirm New Password fields. Once complete, click Save. (Note that strong passwords are required by default in Office 365. This means that the passwords must be between 8 and 16 characters and include three of the following four options: uppercase letter, lowercase letter, number, symbol.)




3.  After you click Save on the password page, you will be taken to Outlook Web App.




Changing Existing O365 Login Password

1.  To change your existing Office 365 password, you will need to log into the Office 365 portal by navigating to https://portal.microsoftonline.com, enter your Office 365 email address and password, then click Sign In.





2.  Once you sign in, you will be taken to Outlook Web App. To change your password, click on the Gear icon in the upper right-hand corner, then click Office 365 Settings




3.  On the Office 365 Settings page, click Password to navigate to the Change Password page.




4.  On the Change Password page, enter the old password in the Old Password field then enter the new password in both the New Password and Confirm New Password fields. Once complete, click Save. (Note that strong passwords are required by default in Office 365. This means that the passwords must be between 8 and 16 characters and include three of the following four options: uppercase letter, lowercase letter, number, symbol.)




5.  Once you click Save, you should see a message that says Saved Successfully




6.  Congratulations!!! You have set your Office 365 password. (Note that when you change your Office 365 password, you must also update Outlook or any mobile devices that are connected to your account with the new password. We recommend updating those devices immediately to avoid connection issues.)
