Twitter Capturing Example

This document provides a brief overview of what is captured in Twitter Archiving.

Available Content for Capture

The content that is captured includes the following:

  • Profile snapshot of monitored user

  • Tweets by a monitored user

    • Photos and Videos attached to tweets are available and captured

    • (GIF added to tweets are Not available)

    • (Poll questions added to tweets are Not available)

  • Replies to Tweets by a monitored user

  • ReTweets by a monitored user

    • Message includes the full 280 characters of the original tweet text

  • Hashtags by a monitored user are captured as part of the entire Tweet text

  • Direct messages by a monitored user, sent and received

    • (File attachments added to messages are Not available)

    • (Group messages are Not available)

  • Mentions that target a monitored user

 

Message Subject-lines and Captured Headers

View captured Headers by clicking “View Headers” checkbox in ZixCentral Message Viewer:

   x-erado-direction: In/Out (inbound to the monitored user, outbound from the monitored user)

   x-erado-source: twitter.com

   x-erado-sm-acct: user@domain.com   (Business email address of social media account)

   x-erado-post-date: Thu, 07 Jun 2018 15:09:28 (date/time of post)

   x-erado-capture-date: Thu, 07 Jun 2018 16:04:07 (date/time of post captured)

The different types of posts have the following details in the subject line and message headers.

 

Profile -- Subject line:  “Twitter Profile of [Monitored-User]”

x-erado-media-type: Post

x-erado-media-post-type: profile

 

Tweet Post -- Subject line:  “Twitter Post of [Monitored-User]”

x-erado-media-type: Post

x-erado-media-post-type: tweet

 

Direct Message -- Subject line:  “Twitter Message of [Monitored-User]”

x-erado-media-type: Mail

 

Mention -- Subject line:  “Twitter Mention of [Monitored-User]”
