How to Resend Service Books on BlackBerry

Resend Service Books on the BB device

Before you can resend the Service Books, you need to delete the Service Book by completing the following steps:

1.      From the Home screen of the BlackBerry device, click Options.

Note: Depending on the theme on your BlackBerry device, you may need to click Settings > Options.

2. If you are running BlackBerry Device Software 4.1, click Advanced Options > Service Book. If you are running BlackBerry Device Software 4.0 or earlier, click Service Book.
3. Locate the service book ( i.e. Desktop [CMIME], Desktop [CICAL]).
4. Click the service book and select Delete.
5. When prompted to confirm, click Delete.

Once you have deleted service books on a device, there is a procedure that you can perform on the device that will resend the service books. See steps below...

1.  Click the "Options" icon on the home screen of the device
2.  Click "Security Options"
3.  Click "General Settings"
4.  Scroll down to the bottom and click "Desktop [S48......] (3D..."
5.  Click "Regenerate Encryption..."
6.  Click "OK"

This will resend the service books to the device.  Allow about 15 minutes for the process to fully update
